Former FIFA Executive Committee member involving in corruption case dies

Baku. 13 July. REPORT.AZ/ Former member of the FIFA Executive Committee Chuck Blazer, who became one of the people involved in the corruption case, has died at age of 72, Report informs referring to Associated Press.

In last years, the official, suspended from the football activities for life in July of 2015, suffered from cancer and was bound to a wheelchair. Blazer was a member of the FIFA Executive Committee from 1997 till 2013; from 1990 till 2011, he was the Secretary General of the Football Confederation of North and Central America and the countries of the Caribbean. He pleaded guilty in 10 episodes of criminal acts.
