Baku. 3 May. REPORT.AZ/ Former captain of the Danish national football team, Rene Henriksen, has been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer.
Report informs, 48-years-old former footballer has been diagnosed with myelomatosis. This is one of the rarest types of cancer found in people under 50.
Henriksen, who spoke about his disease said: " I thought the games of my life had ended on the pitch. Now I treat this as the match of my life. I am determined to find the strength to prevail ".
Notably, Rene Henriksen had a total of 189 games in "Akademisk" and Greek "Panathinaikos" and 66 games in the national team.
