Euro 2020 host cities released from finals of Eurocup

Baku. 21 September. REPORT.AZ/ 13 cities will host European Championship matches in 2020 and Eurocup final in the 2019-2020 season. 

Report informs, the decision was taken by the UEFA Executive Committee.

The reason is the desire to create the opportunity for other countries to organize the crucial meetings of the Champions League and Euroleague. This decision, however, does not cover the UEFA Super Cup.

Notably, Euro 2020 will be held in 13 European cities. They are, along with Baku (Azerbaijan), St. Petersburg (Russia), London (England), Rome (Italy), Munich (Germany), Copenhagen (Denmark), Bucharest (Romania), Amsterdam (Holland), Dublin (Ireland) , Bilbao (Spain), Budapest (Hungary), Brussels (Belgium) and Glasgow (Scotland). 

In the 2018-2019 season the Champions League final will be held at the Metropolitano stadium in Madrid, but Euroleague final in Baku Olympic Stadium. In the same year, a meeting for the UEFA Super Cup will take place in Turkey at the Vodafone Arena in Istanbul.
