Baku Judo Championship starts among women and men

Baku. 23 November. REPORT.AZ/ Baku Judo Championship among men and women has today started at the Serhedchi Olympic Sports Complex.

Report informs citing the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF), 219 male and 23 female judokas from 24 clubs compete for medals during the two-day capital championship.

On the first day of competition, winners will be indentified at all weight categories among women (48 kg, 52 kg, 57 kg, 63 kg, 70 kg, 78 kg and +78 kg).

Men's competition will be held at the weight categories of 60 kg and 66 kg.

Notably, 121 judokas (98 male and 23 female) will fight for medals on the first day. 

The championship, organized by the AJF, Baku city Youth and Sports Department, will run till November 24.
