Africa Cup of Nations postponed due to Ramadan

Baku. 28 January. REPORT.AZ/ The Africa Cup of Nations has been postponed due to the month of Ramadan, Report informs citing foreign media.
The Organizing Committee of the competition told "Agence France-Presse" that the tournament will be held from June 15 to July 13 instead of the planned period from 21 June to 19 July.
The event was postponed after several North African countries appealed to the African Football Confederation.
The countries took the step with the goal to recover the players who fast during Ramadan (from May 5 until June 3).
Notably, this year the Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Egypt. In 2017, it was decided to hold competition not in January, but in summer, and increase the number of participants from 16 to 24.
