Total bank assets strictly decline in Azerbaijan

Baku. 3 November. REPORT.AZ/ As of October 1, total assets of 31 commercial banks based in Azerbaijan amounted to 26,163.6 mln. AZN, total liabilities were 23,145.0 mln.AZN. The sector's equity capital amounted to 3 018.6 mln. AZN, savings of people made 6 999.5 mln. AZN.

Report informs referring to the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA).

In comparison with the beginning of year, total bank assets reduced by 16,8%.

The number of branches of banks is 557, bank branches 142, the number of ATMs is 2 486. In total, the banking sector staff comprised 16 340 people. Currently, 2,324 people work in 178 branches of 123 non-banking credit organizations operating in the country.
