Total assets of investment companies in Azerbaijan more than double

As of January 1, 2022, the total assets of 11 investment companies operating in the country's securities market, except for Troni, which has just received a license from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, amounted to 185.154 million manats ($108.914 million), up +2.1 from the previous year.

Report informs that one of the investment companies, Unicapital, reduced its assets.

At the end of last year, the total liabilities of investment companies amounted to 151.615 million manats ($89.185 million) , which is 2.4 times more than at the end of the previous year. Only Unicapital decreased its liabilities, but rest increased.

As of the reporting date, the total net worth of investment companies amounted to 33.538 million manats ($19.728 million), showing a 36.9%)-growth compared to a year earlier. Two financial institutions - Invest-AZ and Unicapital - reduced their capital on a net worth, while other companies increased.

As of January 1, the total authorized capital of investment companies amounted to 16.791 million manats ($9.877 million) (+23.9%). IBA-Invest and Plato Capital and Co. increased the authorized capital, and the rest kept stable.
