Tomorrow USD exchange rate can hit historic high in Azerbaijan

Baku. 1 November. REPORT.AZ/ Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) is expected to determine official exchange rate for US-dollar as AZN 1.6471. Final exchange rate of US dollar in second session of today’s currency auction was AZN 1.6471/USD, Report informs referring to information from bank sector.

Notably, CBA doesn’t hold third session of auctions in last period. That’s why it is expected that this will be determined as tomorrow’s exchange rate (If no more currency sale between banks takes place today). This means 0.55% increase of the rate.

Notably, if AZN 1.6471/USD is confirmed as official exchange rate for tomorrow, this will be highest exchange rate ever for US dollar in Azerbaijan. Thus, the highest exchange rate until now was recorded on March 11, 2016 (AZN 1.6456/USD).

Today, November 1, an official exchange rate makes AZN 1.6381/USD.
