Ruble rate in Azerbaijan reaches 7-month high

Baku. 12 January. REPORT.AZ/ The official exchange rate of Russian ruble in Azerbaijan has reached the maximum level of the last 7 months and made 0,0301 AZN.

Report informs, the maximum rate of the ruble after the first devaluation of the national currency in Azerbaijan on February 21, 2015, was recorded on February 6, 2017 (0.0324 AZN). The minimum exchange rate from the first devaluation was recorded on December 18, 2015 (0.0148 RUB / AZN). Currently, the rate of ruble is by 7.1% below the maximum limit.

Report informs, the reason for rise in the ruble in Azerbaijan was the decline in the US-dollar exchange rate in Russia. Thus, dollar in Russia has dropped to the minimum level of 7 months - 56,4285 rubles. The reason for decline was the rise in oil prices and weakening of dollar's position in global currency market.
