Long-term non-performing loans in foreign currency increased

Baku. 6 December. REPORT.AZ/ As of November 1, 2016, banking loans with overdue payments in Azerbaijan amount AZN 1 375.5 mln.

Report informs referring to Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), volume of non-performing loans is down AZN 221,7 mln. or 13.7% in comparison with previous month and AZN 132.9 mln. or 8.81% in comparison with the beginning of 2016.

Specific weight of overdue credits in overall loan portfolio makes 8.69%. This figure was 9.52% on October 1 and 6.94% at the beginning of the year.

Manat loans with overdue payments amounted AZN 632.3 mln. by November 1, 2016 which is AZN 131 mln. or 17.16% lower than that on October 1, 2016.

Long-term non-performing loans in manat amounted AZN 477.6 mln. by November 1, which is AZN 110.7 mln. or 18.82% lower than that on October 1.

Non-performing loans in foreign currency equal to AZN 743.3 mln, which is AZN 90.7 mln. or 10.88% lower than the same indicator on October 1 and AZN 75 mln. or 11.22% higher than that at the beginning of 2016.

Specific weight of non-performing loans in foreign currency in overall loan portfolio makes up 10.17% by November 1. The same indicators were 10.51% on October 1 and 6.2% at the beginning of the year.

Short-term non-performing loans in foreign currency amounted AZN 238.4 mln. on November 1, which is AZN 70.7 mln. or 22.87% lower in comparison with indicator on October 1 and AZN 66.4 mln. or 21.78% lower than the indicator at the beginning of the year.

Long-term non-performing loans in foreign currency amounted AZN 504.9 mln. on November 1, which is AZN 20 mln. or 6.07% lower in comparison with indicator on October 1, but AZN 141.4 mln. or 39.9% higher than the indicator at the beginning of the year.
