Credit investments in Azerbaijan's economy up by 23%

Credit investments in Azerbaijan's economy as of December 1, 2024, amounted to 29,066.8 million manats, which is 1% more than on November 1, 2024, and 21.2% more compared to the beginning of last year, and 23.1% more compared to December 1, 2023.

According to Report, which refers to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, 20,296.2 million manats or 69.8% of credit investments came from private banks, which is 16.1% more than the previous year.

During the reporting period, credit investments from state banks amounted to 7,072 million manats, which is 31% more than the previous year. Over the year, the share of state banks in total credit investments increased from 22.9% to 24.3%.

As of December 1, credit investments from non-bank credit organizations (NBCOs) amounted to 1,698.6 million manats, which is 2.3 times more year-over-year. Over the year, the share of NBCOs in total credit investments increased from 3.1% to 5.8%.
