Azerbaijan’s consumption market shrinks 5%

In order to meet the demand of consumers, the products and services amounted to AZN 17.8 billion in January-May 2020, down 5.2% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee (SSC).

Products sold and services provided by the non-state facilities dropped 5% to AZN 17.1 billion, of which 47.5% was formed thanks to the individual entrepreneurs.

In the reporting period, a consumer spent AZN 356.9 on average in a month, down AZN 11.4 from 2019.
