Azerbaijan-based banks’ net worth exceeds AZN 4B UPDATED

Baku. 19 September. REPORT.AZ/ As of September 1, 2018 Azerbaijan-based banks’ assets stood at AZN 28,127,100,000, up by 0.7% from previous month, Report informs citing the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA).

The assets had declined by 0.2% in July 2018. In other words, the decline stopped in August.

36.45% or AZN 10,250,000,000 of total assets was net loans given to customers. Loan portfolio extended by 1.7% in August.

Total liabilities rose by 0.3% to AZN 24,077,500,000, deposit portfolio grew by 1% to AZN 17,346,800,000, of which AZN 7,939,900,000 belonged to individuals, AZN 9,406,900,000 to legal entities. Personal savings decreased by 0.35%, company’s funds increased by 2.2%.

Bank’s liabilities to Central Bank of Azerbaijan dropped by 2.2% to AZN 410.4 million.

Net worth of the banking sector soared 3% to AZN 4,049.6 million.
