Assets of Azerbaijan-based banks reach AZN 30B

As of March 1, 2019, the assets of Azerbaijan-based banks’ assets amounted to AZN 29,950,800,000, up 5.1% in comparison to a year earlier, Report informs citing the Financial Markets Supervisory Authority (FIMSA).

The loans issued to customers amounted to AZN 11,107,100,000 of this amount. The loan portfolio extended by 14.8%, while the share of loans in assets rose from 34% to 37.1%.

In the reporting period, the liabilities grew by 4.4% to AZN 25,708,000,000 with the deposit portfolio risen by 11.5% to AZN 19,118,000,000. Individuals accounted for AZN 8,118,500,000, while legal entities made up AZN 10,999,500,000. Personal savings rose by 4.9%, while corporate funds in the banks grew by 17%.

The liabilities of the banks to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) dropped by 30.1% to AZN 347.7 million.

Total capital of credit organizations rose by 9.2% to AZN 4,242,800,000 throughout the year.
