AmCham Azerbaijan studies application of the new Tax Code

The American Chamber of Commerce in Azerbaijan (AmCham Azerbaijan) is studying the  application of the new Tax Code enacted on January 1, 2018, Report informs citing AmCham Azerbaijan president Nuran Karimov.

According to Karimov, any proposals to the government can be made upon completion of the observations.

The AmCham Azerbaijan president hailed the steps taken by the Ministry of Taxes over the use of the new generation cash registers:

"I believe that these steps will further promote transparency and tax collections."

Notably, once in two years AmCham prepares proposals named 'White paper' and submits them to the government and the President of Azerbaijan. The document features the proposals related to reforms in customs, taxes, banking sector, migration, human resources. The last document was drafted in 2018.
