Uzbekistan to deepen energy co-op with Azerbaijan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved the agreement on further deepening of energy cooperation with Azerbaijan, Report informs via Uzbek media.

The mentioned agreement signed in Baku on August 22, 2023, will be aimed at the development and improvement of mutual activity in the energy sector between the two countries.

The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan will be responsible for the implementation of this international agreement.

Meanwhile, the road map on the expansion of cooperation in the energy sector signed between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan last year in Baku covers the years 2023-2025. The road map covering 14 directions envisages cooperation on geological exploration and production of hydrocarbon resources and the establishment of joint ventures in both countries.
