Serbia hopes for Azerbaijan in diversification of energy transportation 

"Serbia will complete the construction of an interconnector with Bulgaria, which will receive Azerbaijani gas in the future," Zorana Mihajlovic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia, told Report.

According to her, this issue was one of the topics discussed with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov.

"We agreed to discuss this. Maybe next year we will be able to buy natural gas from your country. Serbia is a small country dependent on one energy supplier. Therefore, diversification of energy supply is important for us. Serbia hopes for Azerbaijan in this matter," she added.
