President: Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition helping Azerbaijan present its potential to investors

The International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition, held within the Baku Energy Week, has been helping Azerbaijan to present its potential to investors for almost 30 years, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the official opening ceremony of the 28th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition (Caspian Oil & Gas) within the Baku Energy Week, Report informs.

He noted that 1994 was not only the year of the first Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, but also the year of signing the Contract of the Century.

This contract completely changed the situation in Azerbaijan, allowed attracting investments, and also brought economic stability to the country and ensured a prosperous future, the head of state said.

The president also stressed that in 1994 the country’s oil strategy was just beginning to emerge under the leadership of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

This year the country celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of the founder of independent Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev added.
