LPG price hike expected in Kazakhstan this spring

The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan plans to increase the price of liquefied petroleum gas in the spring, Kazakhstan Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev told a briefing.
Report informs with reference to Sputnik Kazakhstan that the minister said the price increase was part of a long-term strategy to adjust the LPG price annually.
“This year, we are looking at a small increase - about 5-8 tenge, depending on the regions,” he told reporters.
In the earlier meeting, Satkaliyev pointed out that the domestic demand for LPG rose by 28 percent or 400,000 tons in 2023, reaching 2.2 million tons, compared to the previous year.
