Indonesia intends to resume oil supply from Azerbaijan

Energy relations between Azerbaijan and Indonesia must be further developed and brought to a higher level, Tutuka Ariadji, Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Mineral Resources of Indonesia, told Report.

According to him, there are Upstream and Downstream fields: "In the Downstream field, we have a wider potential for the purchase and sale of oil between Azerbaijani and Indonesian companies, as well as between our countries. However, we still need to consider and develop the potential in this field."

He added that Indonesia purchases crude oil from other countries: "However, we can establish direct relations with Azerbaijan. Why shouldn't Indonesia have direct relations with Azerbaijan in the energy field?"

"Azerbaijan and Indonesia signed a Memorandum of Understanding in this field," he said. "However, there is still work to be done."
