Gas price in Europe cross $590 mark

The gas price in Europe on Monday exceeded $590 per 1,000 cubic meters, Report informs via foreign media.

Thus, the price of the October futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands on early August 30 reached $592 or 49 euros per MWh (based on the current exchange rate of the euro against the USD, ICE prices are in euros per MWh).

To date, the price has dropped to about $586 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Last week, the gas price in Europe peaked at $580 per 1,000 cubic meters and exceeded, but then within a few days it fell by almost $100 - first, against the backdrop of false information about alleged gas deliveries via Nord Stream 2, and then the reports on possible Gazprom supplies of 5.6 billion cubic meters of gas via Nord Stream 2 already in 2021.
