EU Energy Ministry supports extension of gas consumption restrictions

EU energy ministers have supported a one-year extension of the requirement to voluntarily reduce gas consumption by 15% compared to the average for the period from April 2017 to March 2022, according to the press service of the EU Council, Report informs referring to TASS.

The Council of the EU has reached a political agreement to recommend a one-year extension until March 31, 2025 of the coordinated voluntary reduction in gas consumption.

As a result, EU member states are recommended to continue to maintain gas consumption at a level 15% lower than with the average for the period from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2022.
