Moldova Deputy PM: Azerbaijan is our strategic partner

Azerbaijan is a strategic partner of Moldova in terms of diversifying energy supplies, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova Andrei Spinu said at a conference within the Baku Energy Forum, Report informs.

“We don’t have any resources, we don’t have oil, gas, like many countries here, we are not as big a country and are not blessed with wind and solar energy, like Azerbaijan, for example,” he said.

Spinu noted that gas prices in Moldova increased five times. “This market collapse hit the most vulnerable countries - Serbia, Moldova, which did not do enough to diversify their energy resources,” he said.
