Daily oil output in Azerbaijan amounted to 683,000 barrels in April

Azerbaijan produced 683,000 bpd in April with 605,000 barrels of crude oil and 78,000 barrels of condensate, Report informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.

390,000 barrels of crude oil, 75,000 barrels of condensate and 19,000 barrels of oil products were exported daily.

In line with the agreement on maintaining daily oil production at 776,000 barrels, Azerbaijan has exceeded its commitment to reduce its output by 20,000 barrels per day.

It should be noted that the average daily oil production in January-April of the current year was 770 thousand barrels.

In April, the Ministry of Energy presented information on daily oil production to the Joint Technical Commission of the OPEC Joint Monitoring Committee.

At the 5th Meeting of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the non-member ministers in Vienna on Dec. 7, 2018, an agreement was reached to reduce the oil production 1.2 million barrels per day. The cooperation deal is to be implemneted in the first half of 2019.
