The May futures price for Brent oil on the London ICE Futures exchange was $86.82 per barrel, which is 7 cents higher than the closing price of the previous session.
On March 25, these contracts increased in price by $1.32 (1.6%) to $86.75 per barrel.
Quotes of WTI oil futures for May in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) increased by 6 cents to $82.01 per barrel.
At the end of the last session, the contract rose in price by $1.32 (1.6%), to $81.95 per barrel.
Quotes are supported by the escalation of tensions in the Middle East, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, as well as a reduction in production in the Russian Federation and a decrease in the number of drilling rigs in the US, MarketWatch reports.
