Borrero: Europe’s main goal is to get rid of dependence on Russian energy resources

The main goal of Europe is to get rid of dependence on Russian energy resources. At the same time, the EU also remains committed to decarbonization, Head of the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission, Cristina Lobillo Borrero said, speaking at a conference within the Baku Energy Forum, Report informs.

She noted the importance of the transition to renewable energy sources (RES).

“We must think about energy efficiency. We have increased this figure from 9 to 40%,” she added.
