Azerbaijani population expand fuel costs by over 12%

The Azerbaijani population spent 730.6 million manats (over $429.7 million) on gasoline and diesel fuels in the first quarter of 2024, up 12.1% from the same period in 2023, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
In January-March 2024, the retail trade network sold 13,474.2 million manats ($7.92 billion) worth of goods to consumers, including 7,543.6 million manats ($4.43 billion) worth of food, beverage, and tobacco wares and 5,930.6 million ($3.48 billion) worth of non-foods.
Compared to the same period of 2023, the retail trade rose by 3.1%, food, beverage, and tobacco products by 1.8%, and non-food products surged by 4.9%.
