Azerbaijan supplied Italy with about 1.5BCM of gas

Gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Italy via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in January-February 2025 amounted to 1.48 billion cubic meters, which is 13.6% less than in the same period of 2024, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security of Italy.
In total, in January-February 2025, the country imported 15.434 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is 8.4% more than in the same period last year. Azerbaijan accounted for 9.6% of the total gas imported by Italy in January-February.
In February, Azerbaijan supplied Italy with 703 million cubic meters of gas, which is 15.8% less than in February 2024. The share of Azerbaijani gas in February also accounted for 9.6% of the total volume of supplies to Italy. As reported, in 2024, gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Italy via TAP amounted to 10.315 billion cubic meters (an increase of 3.3%).
At the same time, Azerbaijan accounted for 16.7% of all supplies. Azerbaijan began exporting gas to Europe on December 31, 2020.
