Azerbaijan produced 596,100 barrels of crude oil and 115,500 barrels of condensate in August 2021, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Energy.

According to the decision made by OPEC+ in July, Azerbaijan was to reduce the production by 91,000 barrels, increase the daily crude oil production by 7,000 barrels to 627,000 barrels in August.

According to the deal reached at the 19th meeting of OPEC+ ministers in July, OPEC+ countries will increase daily crude oil production by 400,000 barrels per starting in August, complete the reduction of 5.8 million barrels in September 2022 and extend the "Declaration of Cooperation" until the end of 2022, making partial changes to the base level of oil production from May next year. The decision allowed Azerbaijan to increase daily crude oil production by about 7,000 barrels per month and, accordingly, reduce its commitment to cuts.
