Azerbaijan posts over 9% growth in gas exports to Türkiye

In February 2023, Azerbaijan exported 815.73 million cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, up 9.12% from the previous year, Report informs, citing Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

Thus, Azerbaijan became the third gas supplier to Türkiye, with a share of 13.57% in Türkiye’s gas market.

Gas exports from Azerbaijan to Türkiye in February 2022 totaled 747.52 million cubic meters.

In January-February 2023, Türkiye imported 1,697.58 million cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan, showing a 9.96% growth compared to the same period in 2022.

Türkiye’s total gas imports in February amounted to 6,011.56 million cubic meters, 4.16% less than a year earlier.

Russia ranked first with the export of 2,065.87 million cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, which is 12.23% less than a year ago.

The United States ranked second with the export of 1,021.29 million cubic meters of gas, down 31.07% from February 2022.
