Azerbaijan posts 11% growth in gas exports to Türkiye

In January 2023, Azerbaijan exported 881.85 million cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, up 10.74% from the previous year, Report informs, citing Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA).

Thus, Azerbaijan became the second gas supplier to Türkiye, with a share of 14.58% in Türkiye’s gas market.

Gas exports from Azerbaijan to Türkiye in January 2022 totaled 796.32 million cubic meters.

In January 2023, Türkiye imported 6,048.23 million cubic meters of gas in total, showing a 9.79% decline compared to the same period in 2022.

Russia ranked first with the export of 2,144.03 million cubic meters of gas to Türkiye, which is 18.13% less than a year ago.

The United States ranked third with the export of 733.54 million cubic meters of gas, down 39.14% from January 2022.
