Baku. 21 December. REPORT.AZ/ The second session of Azerbaijani students was held with the steering support of the ministries of education and youth and sport at the Heydar Aliyev Center.

According to Report, the event participants first visited the Alley of Honors and commemorated national leader Heydar Aliyev putting flowers to his grave.

The flowers were also put to the grave of outstanding ophtholmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

Then the memory of the brave sons of Azerbaijan who sacrificed their lives for independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honoted at the Martyrs' Alley and a wreath was put to the memorial of Eternal Fire.

The session was attended by Vice Premier Ali Ahmadov, Chief of Department for issues of humanitarian policy at the Presidential Administration Farah Aliyeva, Minister of Education Jeyhun Bayramov, state and government representatives, members of parliament, university rectors, head of media structures and students.

The second congress of Azerbaijani students has started at the Heydar Aliyev Center.

Report informs that the event is co-organized by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Youth and Sport.

Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov, Head of Department for Humanitarian Policy Issues at the Presidential Administration Farah Aliyeva, Education Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union Shahin Ismayilov, state and government representatives, MPs,  university rectors, education experts, heads of media outlets and students and others are attending the congress.

The congratulation letter of the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva was read to the participants of the congress by Head of Department for Humanitarian Policy Issues at the Presidential Administration Farah Aliyeva. Notably, the congress is held within the framework of the State Program "Azerbaijani Youth in 2017-2021", approved by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev. At present, 157,662 students educate in bachelor, while 13,442 get master degree in high schools of Azerbaijan, as well as 51,819 students study at secondary educational institutions in Azerbaijan.
