Is it possible to desalinate sea water in Azerbaijan?

The issue of cleaning and bringing seawater to the level of drinking water in Azerbaijan is not a subject of discussion, head of the Caspian Integrated Environmental Monitoring Department Nazim Mahmudov said, Report informs.

He noted that in the future, if there is any initiative on this issue, the issue can be resolved within the state investment program.

Bahadur Kangarli, head of the Planning and Design Department of Azersu OJSC, said that this issue is being considered: “But it is still at the project level, and discussions are ongoing.”
