Fire spreads to forest from territory of Siyazan municipality

The fire that erupted this morning in the territory of the Siyazan district municipality has recently spread to the forest, head of the Shabran district forestry center, Elbrus Aliyev said.

Report quotes him as saying urgent measures are being taken to put out and contain the spread of the fire to larger areas.

"The fire in the territory of the Shabran district has been localized. We were shocked by the fires in Shabran and Siyazan, nature has again suffered from people's negligence. From the day the fire started, all employees of the local bodies of the Ministry of Natural Resources, firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and members of the public have been working to prevent the spread of fire to larger areas.”
