A 67-year-old man from the city of Konya, Türkiye, forgot his native language and began speaking exclusively in Danish for the first time in ten years after undergoing knee surgery and experiencing arterial blockage.
Report informs via Anadolu that the man's right arm and leg weakened following the surgery. Doctors performed emergency angiography and removed a discovered blood clot, but afterward, the patient unexpectedly began speaking only Danish.
According to the agency, the man had lived in Denmark for 20 years before returning to Türkiye, where he settled in Konya about a decade ago.
"My head is full of Danish, I can't say anything in Turkish," the man told the agency through a translator.
