Mexican pianist Jesus Lepe said that he is very glad to be in Azerbaijan for a concert once again.
Report informs that he said this at a press conference in anticipation of the concerts in Baku and other Azerbaijani cities.
"I am glad to be in Azerbaijan again. This visit impressed me greatly too. I feel at home here. All people are friendly and treat the guests very warmly. Unlike the previous year, our repertoire will be a bit different, we added Mexican compositions by Jesus Belisario and Ricardo Castro," Lepe said.
According to the pianist, among Azerbaijani composers he values and loves the works by Gara Garayev most.
On his part, Mexican ambassador to Azerbaijan Rodrigo Labardini said the event is aimed at development of mutual cultural relations between the two nations.
"Each year we, as an embassy, are holding over 25 cultural events. We decided to expand the geography of this concert. Thus, Jesus Lepe will also perform in Gabala and Sumgayit. This all is designed for more people in Azerbaijan to have an idea about Mexican culture and strengthening of our ties," the Mexican diplomat said.
He also noted that a number of cultural events, particularly, Days of Mexican cuisine, demonstration of Mexican films, participation in Qiz Qalasi festival and others are expected in the coming days.
Notably, the concerts of the Mexican pianist will be held in different cities of the country - Baku, Gabala, Sumgayit. The entry is free.
