Pfluger: US working with partners at COP29 to ensure environmental safety worldwide

The US is working with international partners at COP29 to unite joint efforts to ensure energy and environmental security worldwide, US House Representative August Pfluger said at a COP29 event in Baku, Report informs.

He noted that the US has managed to reduce CO2 emissions in the energy sector by 14.5% since 2007 and in the electricity sector by 28% since 2005.

He also noted that since 1970, the amount of pollutant emissions into the atmosphere in the United States has decreased by 70%.

"We must continue in the same spirit if we care about our world and the environment," he said.
