Azerbaijani Prosecutor General: Environmental crimes may only be prevented through joint efforts

Protecting the planet from environmental crimes is only possible through joint efforts, Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev said during a high-level session on mobilizing law enforcement agencies in the fight against climate change, Report informs.
According to Aliyev, Azerbaijan also applies serious sanctions against environmental crimes:
"Serious measures are being taken to protect the environment. We and our colleagues planted more than 200 trees in mine-contaminated areas. We are investigating environmental crimes and damages during the 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani lands. Within the framework of climate measures, we need to work together for future generations."
