Almost all concerns, companies and holdings engaged in e-commerce in Turkiye intend to be represented in the Azerbaijani market at a higher level in the next 2-3 years, e-commerce managers Dervishan Elmaci and Orkhan Isayev said at a press conference in Istanbul before the WORLD ECOM EXPO, Report informs.

They noted that online trade through Azerbaijan will be further expanded: “Economic and trade barriers caused by the pandemic have once again proved that e-commerce will be the main type of shopping in Turkey and the region in the near future. Currently, the Azerbaijan State University of Economics holds numerous seminars and conducts extensive research.”

Turkiye's first and largest e-commerce exhibition - WORLD ECOM EXPO - will be held in Antalya on March 29-31. The exhibition will be organized by the International Electronic Export Platform WORLDEF and supported by the Turkish Ministry of Commerce.

The organizers said at a press conference that WORLD ECOM EXPO will be an important platform for the global e-commerce sector. About 1,500 representatives from 35 countries will take part in the exhibition. International actors with global e-commerce worth $150 billion will meet with Turkish exporters and suppliers.

Besides, the organizers spoke about the impact of instability in the world, as well as the Russian-Ukrainian war on e-commerce. They noted that the withdrawal of many international companies from the Russian market could create a favourable environment and opportunities for Turkish companies.
