Swedish Charge d'Affaires: Reforms in Azerbaijan create opportunities for foreign investment growth

Baku. 22 November. REPORT.AZ/ "Azerbaijan is an important country for us in fields of oil and gas, agriculture with its rich resources. I can say Azerbaijan's agricultural products are one of the bests."

Report informs Swedish Charge d'Affaires to Azerbaijan, Tomas Danestad said at the opening of Swedish store in Baku.

He said that however, decline in oil price is a challenge for Azerbaijan, it allows to develop non-oil sector. T.Danestad mentioned contribution of Swedish companies: "Reforms in Azerbaijan create opportunities for growth of foreign investment. Opening of the Swedish home electronics store in Baku is its shining example."

T.Danestad said that Azerbaijan has great potential: "I'm pleased with further development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Swedish companies."

The Swedish diplomat stressed that until the new year, an agreement earlier signed between Azerbaijan and Sweden on avoidance of double taxation will enter into force.
