Engelberger: Germany glad to return to exhibition in Azerbaijan after 2-year break

The German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau – VDMA) is pleased to return to the oil and gas exhibition in Azerbaijan after a two-year break, VDMA representative Olaf Engelberger told Report.

“We are very happy to be in Baku after two years of the COVID-19 pandemic and are happy to take part in the exhibition again. It is going great,” Engelberger said.

He noted that the equipment produced by the association’s member companies is also used in the oil and gas sector.

VDMA has almost 3,500 companies with more than a million employees.

Baku Energy Week has started its work in the capital of Azerbaijan. Taking into account current trends in the energy sector, the Baku Energy Week in Azerbaijan brings together the 27th International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, the 10th anniversary Caspian International Power and Renewable Energy Exhibition, as well as the Baku Energy Forum.

As many as 249 companies from 30 countries take part in the exhibitions and the forum.
