Azerbaijani lawmaker offers to apply differential VAT rates in Azerbaijan

Baku. 13 February. REPORT.AZ/ "18% VAT applied to all products in Azerbaijan. In European countries this figure varies between 15 and 25%”. 

Report informs, Azerbaijani lawmaker Vahid Ahmadov said at the conference entitled "Taxes: Transparency, Development" organized by the Ministry of Taxes.

Ahmadov suggested differentiation of VAT rates: "Another issue is related to the forecast task of the Ministry of Taxes. What's the point of setting up forecast at 7 billion AZN and posing a threat to the ministry? The ministry must have a relevant base to fulfill this forecast. I ask both the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Taxes to pay attention to this issue”.

Finally, the lawmaker has called on all taxpayers to vote for Ilham Aliyev in the upcoming presidential elections.
