Azerbaijan to exchange experience with Turkiye in standardization

A meeting was held with representatives of the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) at the Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control State Service under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy, Report informs, citing the State Service.

The head of the Service, Mammad Abbasbayli, briefed the guests about the activities of the Service and the reforms carried out in the priority directions. He spoke about the measures implemented within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding and Action Plan signed between the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND) and TSE, and emphasized that AZSTAND has the right to publish official publications of more than 9,000 national standards of Turkiye in Azerbaijan, and underlined the importance of cooperation with TSE.

Chairman of TSE Mahmut Sami Sahin noted the importance of further expansion of effective relations and joint activities with AZSTAND.

In the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize mutual visits between the two institutions to exchange experiences.
