Azerbaijan, Moldova ink joint declaration of co-op in customs

A Joint Declaration on bilateral cooperation was signed between the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (SCC) and the Customs Service of Moldova, Report informs, referring to the SCC.

A delegation of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan visited Moldova. In the meetings attended by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Moldova, Ulvi Bakhshaliyev, the bilateral and international relations between the customs services of Azerbaijan and Moldova were discussed with satisfaction, and the importance of strengthening mutual cooperation and exchange of experience was emphasized.

At the meeting, presentations on the experience gained by the Moldovan customs regarding the New Computerized Transit System and the system's recent test implementation, as well as the on the membership of the General Transit Procedure Convention, and improvements in national legislation were demonstrated.

As a part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the activities of the legal, anti-smuggling departments, Training and Laboratory Center of the Customs Service of Moldova, and visited the Sculeni and Leuseni-Albita border customs border crossing points, located on the border with Romania, where coordinated customs control is carried out. Azerbaijani delegation was informed about the organization of border crossing processes and customs control.
