Azerbaijan-Georgia business forum to be held annually

The Azerbaijan-Georgia business forum will be held every year, Zviad Chumburidze, Secretary-General of the European Union-Georgia Business Council, said in an interview with Business Media, Report informs.

Chumburidze noted that the agreement to hold the event annually was reached at the Azerbaijan-Georgia business forum held in Baku on June 29.

According to him, direct contacts among business sector representatives create more prospects for cooperation.

The secretary-general said that there is great potential for further increasing the volume of trade between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

“At the forum held in Baku, Georgian business offered Azerbaijani business cooperation in all areas, including tourism, real estate, free industrial zones, transport and logistics,” he added.

Some 40 Georgian and 100 Azerbaijani companies attended the business forum organized with the support of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia, and the Embassy of Georgia in Azerbaijan.
