New group of Report Media School joins training program

The Report Media School under the Report News Agency (IA) has kicked off a new training program.

Eight of the applicants will prepare news, interviews, reports, research articles, and learn the secrets of the journalism profession at the news agency. Emphasis will be placed on news journalism during the training.

Murad Aliyev, editor-in-chief of the Report News Agency, said at a meeting with the participants that joining the program will allow anyone interested in journalism to master the secrets of the profession.

"Every media outlet has a mission to train young journalists. This process is taking place at the Report Media School established in the agency. Journalists who successfully complete the training have a tenfold chance of getting a job at Report and other media outlets. It is important to come to the training on time, to show initiative, to take each assignment seriously. Being prompt in reporting is half the battle.”

The head of the Report Media School, Ismayil Rafigoglu, said that many innovations were applied in the teaching process: “The Internet age journalism is constantly changing. The new period has hundreds of demands, one cannot learn one process and remain indifferent to another. Today, the students of the Report Media School have to do more work than the first groups. It is impossible to miss a single training because the curriculum has become much more difficult. Every participant must feel this responsibility."

The Report Media School has been operating since 2018. The purpose of the media school is to train professionals in the field of media in Azerbaijan, to convey modern trends used by the world media to young journalists, to reveal the potential of those who are interested in journalism and want to work in this sector, to increase practical knowledge and skills. So far, dozens of young people have graduated from the Report Media School. These young people work in various media outlets in the country.
