The strategy of the D-8 Media Excellence Center was presented during the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, Report's correspondent dispatched to Shusha informs.
The presentation was attended by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev, D-8 Secretary General Sohail Mahmood and media executives.
It was noted that the main goal of the center is to strengthen media cooperation among D-8 countries, increase professional capacity, promote research and innovation, and develop common approaches in this field.
During the presentation, participants were briefed on the planned activities of the D-8 Media Excellence Center in institutional development, international positioning, creation of cooperation mechanisms, exchange of experience, media research and the fight against disinformation.
It was also emphasized that the next stages of the center's work envisage the creation of a cooperation network bringing together media organizations of member states, the implementation of joint projects, expansion of partnerships with international organizations and sharing of best practices in the media sector.
The presentation also noted that annual advisory councils will be held as part of the center's work to discuss its action plan and define its goals.
