Scientists reveal benefits of wearing glasses in COVID pandemic

Indian scientists have concluded that people who wear glasses are more protected during the coronavirus pandemic than those who don’t, Report informs referring to The Sunday Telegraph.

The researchers surveyed 304 COVID patients and found that 19 percent of them wear glasses most of the time. Scientists have found that those who wear such accessories for eight hours a day are less likely to contract coronavirus infection since they are less likely to touch their face and eyes.

They also proved that glasses could be protective factors that prevent COVID infection from entering the body through the mucous membrane.
