The EU is investing in the development of transport links in the South Caucasus region, Director-General of the Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations Gert Jan Koopman said at the 57th annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Tbilisi, Report informs.
“Grateful to address ADB HQ’s annual meeting in Tbilisi. The EU investing in connectivity in the South Caucasus. This too is an opportunity to seize for Georgia, together with securing its orientation, reforms, and European future,” he wrote on X.
Gert Jan Koopman is touring the countries of the South Caucasus from April 30 to May 4. He first visited Armenia and Georgia. From May 3 to 4, he will be on a visit to Azerbaijan.
