Armenian authorities to allocate over $6M to host annual meeting of EBRD

Armenia will allocate about 2.4 billion drams (approximately $6.2 million) to host the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Report informs via Sputnik-Armenia.

The meeting will take place from May 14 through May 16.

Initially, 2.2 billion drams were allocated for the event. At a government meeting on Thursday, it was decided to increase the amount by another 179 million, which will be required to cover entertainment expenses.

Armenia is going to host the annual meeting of any international financial organization for the first time. It is expected that the meeting and accompanying business forum will attract about 2,000 financiers and investors, including representatives of the world's leading banks.
